A-Ga-Ming means many things. To the Native Americans, it is a word meaning "on the shore." For golfers from across the Midwest and the nation, it means a wonderful resort vacation, complete with lodging, dining and world-class relaxation. For the Northern Michigan golf community, it means a 36-hole golf resort nestled on the shores of Torch Lake, just a few miles from Lake Michigan. The 18-hole Torch course features 6,693 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 73.2 and it has a slope rating of 133 on Bent grass. The 18-hole Sundance course at the A-Ga-Ming Golf Resort facility in Kewadin, Michigan features 7,003 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 73.2 and it has a slope rating of 133 on Bent grass. Designed by Chick Harbert, the golf courses opened in 1974. Mike Brown manages the course as the General Manager.
