A new native wildlife habitat is being installed at Addison Oaks this summer. A stretch of the shoreline along Adams Lake is being converted from sand and turf into a natural shoreline with native plants that will support bird, pollinator, turtle and fish populations. Some of the plants that will be flowering along the shoreline this summer include Blue Flag Iris, Hairy Beard Tongue and Cardinal Flower. Planned additions for next summer include new turtle nesting structures and woody
debris which support fish populations.
