After fifteen years of operation, after much thought and deliberation, we have decided to shut down MIFUN4u.com, effective 1-1-25. We thank all those who used our web site, and especially those who advertised with us. It was a pleasure to help promote over 3000 Michigan Events & Attractions, we enjoyed providing this information.
The Algonac/Clay Historical Society was formed in 1991 by combining the former Algonac Boating and Historical group and the Clay Township Historical Society. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of the area. The Township of Clay and the City of Algonac have been very supportive by donating funds to special projects. At present the Society has two museums. A hard working group of local volunteers keeps the museums operating by donating many hours for planning exhibits, cataloging the donations, preserving the artifacts, taking care of maintenance and manning the museum. Our archives include Algonac's boat building heritage featuring Chris-Craft, Gar Wood and the many other local boat builders. Over 10,000 artifacts also features local history, business, industry, schools, churches and the military.
