The Carl T. Johnson Hunting & Fishing Center is a multi-faceted museum, nature center, and hiking trail in Cadillac. Conveniently located off of M-115, the Carl T Johnson Hunting & Nature Center rests between Lake Cadillac, Lake Mitchell, and the man-made canal that connects the two lakes. Visitors will discover the story of Michigan hunting and fishing starting with Native Americans and up to today.
The museum has native fish species for viewing in a wall-size freshwater aquarium. Group tours are welcome, as are guided hikes on the 2.5 mile Heritage Nature Trail which feature magnificent viewing platforms. The namesake Carl T. Johnson was a long time resident of Cadillac, who devoted his life to the outdoors and also lead the Michigan DNR under Governor William Milliken.
