It all started with a simple request from one of the most powerful men in history. In 1923, Henry Ford instructed his general secretary to "lay out a good, practical golf club that anybody could use." With those thirteen words, the Dearborn Country Club was born. Dearborn Country Club is a traditional, family-oriented club located conveniently between downtown Detroit and the western suburbs.
The club features one of the most challenging, yet playable 18 holes of golf found in the state of Michigan. This historical course features 6,787 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 73.4 and it has a slope rating of 131 on Bent grass. Designed by Donald J. Ross, ASGCA, the Dearborn golf course opened in 1925. John Matway manages the course as the General Manager.
