The historic Frauenthal Center for the Performing Arts houses the majestic Frauenthal Theater, the intimate Beardsley Theater, the Bettye Clark-Cannon Gallery and an assortment of beautiful rental spaces. The Frauenthal Center for the Performing Arts combines living history with a dedication to live theater and music. If you’re looking for tickets to an upcoming performance, a venue for your wedding and reception, or a place to conduct that very important meeting, the Frauenthal Center offers it all. Our fully functioning theater is home to the West Michigan Symphony Orchestra, Muskegon Civic Theatre, the Miss Michigan Pageant, and Muskegon Community Concerts. The Center's flagship is the 1,726 seat Frauenthal Theater, a fully restored historic motion picture palace, that originally opened in September 1930. The Beardsley Theater was designed and built in 1986. It contains a stage, seating for 169 people and features state of the art sound/lighting systems. Besides showcasing wonderful entertainment, the Beardsley Theater is often used for lectures, meetings and presentations. The Spanish renaissance Frauenthal Center for the Performing Arts is owned and operated by the Community Foundation for Muskegon County and is recognized in the state of Michigan as a non-profit organization.
