Stoatin Brae, Gull Lake View’s newest course opening in 2017! As one of the highest spots in Kalamazoo County, it has amazing views all around the course and vistas that rival those in northern Michigan or the mountains of Carolina. The site is a dramatic piece of land that makes for a dramatic piece of golf. Gull Lake View West is the original 18-hole championship course that started it all. The front 9 hole were completed in 1963, with the back 9 reaching completion in 1965. Recent design changes have greatly enhanced this challenging course. Rated as high as the 10th best golf course in Michigan, Gull Lake View East’s front 9 were completed in 1975, and the back 9 holes were finished in 1976. A year later, the Fairway Villas were opened for extended golf getaways. All were designed and built by the Darl Scott Family. Stonehedge South is the third of the five Gull Lake View courses, designed in 1988 by Charles Scott. The back nine was completed in 1988. This exacting design is set in a scene of dramatic, rolling forested countryside. The fourth of the five Gull Lake View courses, Bedford Valley, was designed in 1965 by William Mitchell and was purchased by the Scott Family in 1988. This 18-hole facility is one of Michigan’s most frequent championship sites. A brand new clubhouse was opened during the 2008 season, only enhancing this great facility. Stonehedge North is the newest of the five Gull Lake golf courses, with all eighteen holes enjoying dramatic elevation changes and forested terrain. Designed by Charles and Jon Scott, Stonehedge North opened in 1995.
