After fifteen years of operation, after much thought and deliberation, we have decided to shut down MIFUN4u.com, effective 1-1-25. We thank all those who used our web site, and especially those who advertised with us. It was a pleasure to help promote over 3000 Michigan Events & Attractions, we enjoyed providing this information.

The Recreation Area is conveniently situated on beautiful Portage Lake, one mile west of downtown Hancock on M-203. Comprised of over 28 acres of developed properties, the Recreation Area offers opportunities for camping, boating, swimming, fishing and picnicking. Beach facilities include playground equipment, volleyball and horseshoe courts, clean restrooms, showers, phones, laundry, a changing house, boat ramp, and many tables available for public enjoyment. All thoroughfares through the camping area are blacktopped and have streetlights for nighttime safety and all roads are police patrolled. The facility is open to the public from May 15 to October 15. Daily fees for campsites, but beach use is free to the public.
