The 18 holes of Deer Run Golf Course offer a unique challenge in a scenic setting. The front 9 features beautiful fairways, bunkers and large greens while the back 9, designed by architect William Newcomb, winds past the headwaters of the Manistee River. Without a doubt, the best overall value in Northern Michigan golf. The course features 6,996 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.0 and it has a slope rating of 130 on Blue grass. Lakes of the North golf course opened in 1968. Ken Lashuay manages the course as the Manager.
