Summer nights are transformed into a virbrant restaurant and nightclub scene. Mackinac Island truly has something for everyone. Less emergency vevicles, there are no automobiles permitted. The main form of transportation is horse & carriage, bike, and by foot. Take a trip back in time, visit a revolutionary era fort where the British couldn’t permanently replace Americans. Enjoy sunset on the patio at the Grand Hotel, take in the rich history of this magnificent island. Visitors get to the island by ferry from Mackinaw City or St Ignace.
