Established in 1901 Manistee Golf and Country Club is one of Michigan’s oldest courses featuring unmatched views of the local beaches, piers and breathtaking views of Lake Michigan. As with most links courses, the breeze felt off Lake Michigan, can become variable and will be a challenge to any skill level golfer. At a total length of 5,614 yards, for a par of 70, don’t be fooled by the short length by today’s golf standards, as many well appointed water hazards, bunkers and undulation in the terrain will require a keen eye for course management and quality iron play. The course rating is 70.9 and it has a slope rating of 118 on Bent grass. Designed by Tom Bendelow/W. Bruce Matthews, III, ASGCA, the Manistee golf course opened in 1901.
