Since its opening in 1923, Michigan State has won 70 percent of its games played in Spartan Stadium. The Spartans hosted their 500th game at Spartan Stadium on Oct. 12, 2013, against Indiana on Homecoming. Spartan Stadium (capacity: 75,005) represents a tribute to Michigan State's football past and a vote of confidence in its future. Since 2012, more than $34 million has been committed to upgrading the 93-year-old facility to continually enhance the gameday atmosphere.
