A unique mix of culture and history awaits you at the Tri-Cities Historical Museum. Whether you have a day or an hour, whether you’re a local resident or an out-of-town visitor, a trip to the museum is sure to fascinate and entertain you. The museum is made up of two separate sites, both located in Grand Haven’s beautiful and historic downtown. Admission is always free at both sites!
Located at 200 Washington Ave., our main museum features three floors of experiences that help visitors orient the past with the present. A combination of permanent and ever-changing temporary exhibits will acquaint you with the Tri-Cities’ place in local history as well as in the broader world. The exhibits tell the story – and special events, classes, and tours make the story heard!
Our Depot Museum of Transportation is located on Grand Haven’s waterfront in a beautifully restored 1870s railroad depot. Both the building and the exhibits help transport you to a past when the waterfront was the hub for a bustling network of trade – one that relied on steamships and trains to move a vast amount of goods and people in and out of the Tri- Cities.
