For 96 years, Walnut Hills has been the top destination in Mid-Michigan for golf, recreation, and social gatherings. The rolling site now occupies 182-acres and offers the most idyllic golfing in Mid-Michigan. Construction of the current course began in the fall of 1927. In 1929, after surveying the new land, the charter members established the name "Walnut Hills Golf Club" representing the hardwoods that outlined the property and the rolling landscape that enhanced the course strategy. The courseĀ features 6,739 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 72.7 and it has a slope rating of 130 on Bent grass. Designed by Joseph A. Roseman, the Walnut Hills golf course opened in 1929.
