Early Jul - John Collins Park, Reeds Lake

Schedule of Events, Thursday, July 4, 2024.

Noon: Parade.
1:00pm -3:30 pm, Kids inflatables, food trucks and water ski show by Grand City Show Skiers.
8:00pm to dusk: Full Cord concert.
Dusk: Fireworks show over Reeds Lake.

Parade
The parade will begin at the intersection of Sherman Street and Wealthy Street and continue east on Wealthy Street, turning left on Lakeside Drive and ending at Reeds Lake Boulevard. Check out the complete route map.

For the community’s safety, it is critical spectators remain off the road. If you are interested in participating in the parade, complete this form. For details, call the Parks and Recreation Department at 616.949.1750.

Fireworks Show
Watch the fireworks over Reeds Lake at John Collins Park, the high school track practice field or the middle school field. Want to support the fireworks show? Make your gift by completing this form

Fireworks will be permitted in East Grand Rapids 11 a.m.-11:45 p.m. June 29-July 4 per Michigan law. They are prohibited on public, church, school or private property without express permission from the property owner or a permit from the City.

Boat Ramp Reminder

The boat ramp will be closed 8:15-9:30 a.m.,11 a.m.-4 p.m. and 8 p.m.-11 p.m. on July 4.
