It's Leelanau County's longest running auto show, Northport Cars in the Park. This event is held annually the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend in Northport, Michigan at beautiful Haserot Park. The show opens at 10 with awards at 3 pm, Free admission for spectators.

Drive along scenic M22 up the beautiful Leelanau Peninsula to Haserot Park on Grand Traverse Bay for this unique event. Haserot Park is conveniently located only a block from downtown shops and restaurants. Please leave your bicycle in the racks provided at the park entrances.
History:
Northport Cars in the Park LLC is a private organization founded to manage and perpetuate Leelanau County’s longest running auto show. The show was founded in 1998 by George Irvine, at the request of the local chamber of commerce, and he ran the show for many years. More recently, the car show was held by the Northport and Omena Firefighter’s Association as a fund raiser. When the Firefighter’s Association decided to end their involvement in the event after the 2014 show, they turned to George's son, Darin Irvine, to carry on the tradition. Darin founded "Northport Cars in the Park LLC" and gathered a group of local car nuts who shared his enthusiasm for ensuring the survival of the popular event into a committee of advisors who help plan the show. These advisors, as well as a multitude of additional volunteers on the day of the show, join him in a common cause. Darin Irvine Custom Automotive Restoration is the lead sponsor for the event and provides the administration required for a successful car show. Darin and his business manager (and wife) Lynelle are the “we” behind Northport Cars in the Park. We believe the car show is an important tradition for Northport and are dedicated to the ideals of preserving the event and ensuring a quality car show for the participants and spectators.
